Description
For the handling of bulk materials there are two different technologies for unloading vessels the continuous and the intermittent unloaders. On the Figure 1 is defined the two families of equipment classified according to the established technology.
At the large port operations, the most utilized types on Continuous Unloader are pneumatic, vertical screw and elevator bucket chain and on Intermittent Unloader is the gab rope trolley.
Due to the completely different technologies involved there are various pros and cons to be considered to choose a right unloading system. Besides the specific energy consumption many others properties and have to be considered before investing in a new ship unloader.
ATXL-B screw ship unloader can walk longitudinally on the dock track with strong maneuverability. Depending on the two-way horizontal rotation of the rotary tower, the tilting amplitude of the horizontal beam on the tower and the back-and-forth swing of the vertical arm, the feeder can realize three-dimensional movement to track the position of the material to take it, and then the material is lifted to the horizontal screw by the vertical screw machine, and then the material in the ship cabin is automatically unloaded to the shore by the discharging device.
